Casinos
Martinique has two gambling
casinos: one located in the Méridien Hotel and a large new one, Casino de
la Batelière Plazza, north of town. Entrance fee: 70F and 69F
respectively. Both open nightly from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m. American or French
roulette and blackjack are the games played. Proof of identity (e.g.,
valid passport or driver's license with photo) required. Dress is casual;
no tie or jacket needed. There are slot machines in salons (no entry fee)
next to casino rooms. Legal gambling age: 18.
Entertainment
For many visitors, the fibes of the city are sufficient entertainment
in themselves. For others, there is a surprising variety of activities
available; Shows from known artists, Tours, Cuisine Dining and night-life outlets are
